What inspired you to go into music?
Throughout high school I had not planned to study music in college. Despite this, I always knew that music was one of the most important parts of my life. My senior year I was principal flute in the San Bernardino County Honor Band, and we were performing an arrangement of Florence Price’s “Adoration” for wind ensemble. I remember during the performance being so overwhelmed with love for making music with other people, I knew I wanted to keep doing it for the rest of my life. After that performance I told my mom I was going to change my major to music, and I found myself 6 months later with the RCC Wind Ensemble!
What is an interesting fact about you?
I can watch every Lord of the Rings movie in one sitting.
What activities do you enjoy in your spare time?
I love reading, especially classic literature from around the world, and baking sweet treats.
What are you most excited for about this 2024-2025 season?
I am most excited to connect with new people through music!
