What inspired you to go into music?
When I was nine years old, my mother came home with a box of classical music cassette tapes that she found at a yard-sale on her way home from work. My family was not musical at all and I had never heard classical music before that. I plugged in my old SpongeBob radio and started listening to Mozart's Eine Kleine Nachtmusik and Stravinsky's Firebird Suite on repeat. I was hooked from then on!
What is an interesting fact about you?
When I was a senior in high school, I was dead set on studying linguistics and Japanese translation in college until the very last second. During application season I spontaneously decided to take auditions for music school and make music my life's work from then on.
What activities do you enjoy in your spare time?
Cooking delicious meals for my friends and family.
What are you most excited for about this 2024-2025 season?
Performing as much as possible.
