Biography
Carlos Cruz is currently a student at Riverside city college, where he is currently pursuing his associates of Arts degree in performance. During high school, Carlos had been in various Honor bands playing clarinet under the instruction of Kathryn Nevin. As a student of RCC Carlos has been apart of many of the ensembles such as concert band, wind ensemble and orchestra, also performing in the Moreno Valley wind symphony under the direction of Paul Bluto, the Redlands Chamber Orchestra at the University of Redlands, and the youth wind ensemble under the direction of Nicholas Bracher.
What inspired you to go into music?
Listening to classical music all my life and being put into orchestra at a young age really put into perspective that I wanted to do this for the rest of my life. Watching how others played with such passion made me want to go into this.
What is an interesting fact about you?
I’m the only boy in my family.
What activities do you enjoy in your spare time?
Sleep when I get the time.
What are you most excited for about this 2024-2025 season?
Getting to play amazing music.
